Progestagen, in intravaginal sponge

COMPOSITION:

Polyurethane sponge soaked with 60 mg of Medroxyprogesterone acetate/sponge.

INDICATIONS:

Ewes and Female goats: Oestrus synchronization and Heat induction. Induction of synchronized cyclic activity during the period of anoestrus, if used together with PMSG. The purpose of the product is to induce the same conditions of sexual activity in all females, i.e. to provoke luteal phase. This makes it possible, if applied with PMSG in adequate doses, induction of synchronized oestrus.

ADMINISTRATION ROUTE:

Intravaginal. The sponges must be introduced with the aid of an applicator which will be disinfected before each use. Do not use alcohol, cresol, phenol, etc.

DOSAGE: Ewes and Female goats: 1 sponge/animal. The sponge must remain in the vagina for 12 to

14 days. Remove the sponges at 14 days of the anoestrus stage and administer simultaneously an

intramuscular injection of 500 IU of PMSG (GONASER).

WITHDRAWAL PERIOD: Not required.

SPECIAL PRECAUTIONS:

Once used, the sponges will be safely eliminated, by incineration for instance. Do not store above 30 ºC. Protect from light. Keep out of reach of children.
