STREPTOCOCCOSIS AND LACTOCOCOSIS TRUCHA

Inactivated vaccine, Lactococcosis of trout, in injectable emulsion

COMPOSITION PER DOSE (0.1 ml):

Inactivated Lactococcus garvieae, strain TW-446.B3 RPS ­ 75%*

*RPS: Relative Percentage of Survival.

INDICATIONS AND TARGET SPECIES:

Trout: Prevention of Lactococcosis caused by Lactococcus garvieae.

ADMINISTRATION ROUTE:

Intraperitoneal.

DOSAGE:

Trout: 0.1 ml/sh. Size: as of 20 grams. * Vaccinating sh when they weigh 20 grams provides immunity from 28 days after administration up until 8 months afterwards.

RECOMENDATIONS FOR CORRECT ADMINISTRATION:

- Shake before use.

- Do not vaccinate diseased sh or those which are carriers of any pathogenic microorganism.

- Fish should not be put under stress for 48 hours prior to vaccination and for the 15 days following vaccination.

- Water culture temperature for vaccination should be kept at the same or slightly lower temperature than the optimal one for the growth of the species.

- Once the bottle is opened, its content should be used the same day.

INTERACTIONS:

It is not advisable to administer other vaccines for 14 days preceding vaccination or for 14 days after vaccinating with this product.

CONTRAINDICATIONS: None.

ADVERSE REACTIONS: None.

WITHDRAWAL PERIOD: Zero degree-days.

INCOMPATIBILITIES: Do not mix with other immunological products.

SPECIAL STORAGE PRECAUTIONS:

Store between +2 to +8 ºC. Do not freeze.

SPECIAL WARNINGS:

To the user:

This product contains mineral oil. Accidental injection/self-injection may result in severe pain and swelling, particularly if injected into a joint or nger, and in rare cases could result in the loss of the affected nger if prompt medical attention is not given. If you are accidentally injected with this product, seek prompt medical advice even if only a very small amount is injected and take the package insert with you. If pain persists for more than 12 hours after medical examination, seek medical advice again.

To the physician:

This product contains mineral oil. Even if small amounts have been injected, accidental injection with this product can cause intense swelling, which may, for example, result in ischaemic necrosis and even the loss of a digit. Expert, PROMPT, surgical attention is required and may necessitate early incision and irrigation of the injected area, especially where nger pulp or tendon is involved.

SPECIAL PRECAUTIONS FOR THE DISPOSAL OF UNUSED MEDICINAL PRODUCT OR WASTE MATERIALS:

Any unused veterinary medicinal product or waste materials derived from such veterinary medicinal products should be disposed of in accordance with local regulations.
